Two Macs, one window.

Install it on both, allow what each one asks for, and open a window. A few minutes, start to finish.

Set up in five steps

  1. Move it to ApplicationsOpen the download and drag the app into Applications. It is signed and notarized, so macOS opens it without a warning.
  2. Install it on both MacsThe same app shares windows, shows them, or both. There is no separate host version.
  3. Allow what each Mac asks forEach permission is asked for when it is first needed, with the reason. The table below says which Mac asks for what.
  4. Share from one, pair from the otherThe first time it opens, the app asks how each Mac is used. On the Mac mini or Studio, choose Share its windows. On the Mac you sit at, choose View windows here, then Pair with the other Mac. Both screens show the same six digits: confirm on both. You only do this once. If the other Mac is not listed because it is on another network (over Tailscale, say), type its address under Add by address.
  5. Open a windowPress ⌃⌥⌘Space, or choose Open a window… from the menu bar. Search, pick one, and it opens here as an app of its own, with its own Dock icon.

What each Mac asks for

The Mac you sit at needs only Local Network. The Mac that shares its windows needs more.
